teaching

I care deeply about broadening the accessibility of education. I am extremely lucky to have had both excellent teachers and excellent opportunities to teach.

I was a junior counselor (2023) and counselor (2024) at the Ross Mathematics Program, where I helped manage a full-time six-week educational & residential experience for 60 high schoolers. I led a dedicated "family" of students, graded daily problem sets, and gave both small-group & camp-wide talks. For an example of notes that I wrote at Ross, see here.

This past winter (2026), I was the only undergraduate TA for STATS 118, the second half of Stanford's rigorous introduction to probability theory & statistical inference. Instead of supplementing lectures with typical "sections" of a dozen or more students, STATS 118 uses the "tutorial" model developed at Oxford & Cambridge. During each of the four weekly tutorials that I taught, I led a small group of three to four students in deep discussions about the homework problems & course topics. I also held regular office hours and graded exams. For an example of notes that I wrote for my students, see here.
